About Me

I  have  always  expressed  myself  with  writing.  Poems   and  short  stories  when  I  was  young,  journaling  in  my  adulthood,  with  a seemingly  impossible day dream  of  one  day  being  a  published  author.  As  always,  life  happens  and  can  easily  get  in  the  way  of  our  dreams,  and  that  was  my  story,  until  now.  

 I  was  born  with  a  genetic,  progressive,  and  fatal  disease,  called  cystic  fibrosis  (CF).  I  wasn’t  expected  to  live  past  elementary school.  I  have  been  defying  the  odds  not  only  continuing  to  live,  but  live  fully.  I  live  in  Pennsylvania,  have  a  daughter,  and  had  a  nursing  career  for  over  20  years.  

In   2020 ,  at  the  height  of  the  pandemic,   I  underwent  and  survived a  double  lung  transplant  due  to end -stage  CF.   With  this  gift  of  more  time  I  am  now  choosing  to  turn  my  seemingly  impossible  day  dream  into  reality.   I  treat  each  day  like  the  gift  it  truly  is,  and  am  hoping  to  spread  goodness  in  this  world  through  writing.  My  wish  for  each  of  you  is  to   have  the  courage  to  grab  onto  your  dreams  and  make  them  your  reality  as  well!
